Dear Friends and Neighbors,
It’s been an unusual year for real estate in the Denver area. Everyone knows by now that 2015 saw even less inventory of homes, condos, and town homes for sale than the previous two years. This low level of inventory created an atmosphere of high demand (lots of qualified buyers search for their dream home), and low supply (little to choose from) resulting in sellers being in the “drivers seat,” better known as a strong sellers market.
Still, interest rates have stayed low in 2015 (but for how much longer?) and lending requirements have loosened considerably, which results in many folks being able to afford the rising prices of the homes.
Hopefully 2016 will be the year that brings change upward in the supply or inventory of properties for sale. Buyer demand will still be strong next year, but more homes to choose from will create a healthier real estate market across all price ranges in the Denver area.
My team and I are so blessed by everyone we have been able to assist this year. We appreciate you are are thankful that we are all healthy and able to enjoy all that living in Colorado has to offer. Best wishes for a joyful holiday season.
